Spay/Neuter

Spaying and neutering is the single, most effective way to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that are euthanized on a daily basis nationwide.

SCC has been proud to offer a Low Cost Spay Neuter Program since 2003. We’re guessing we’ve facilitated some 6,000 to 7,000 canine and feline spays and neuters. It takes a lot of fundraising, volunteer hours scheduling the appointments, and our volunteers promoting the program to rack up those kinds of numbers.

Due to the lack of available appointments, we are not accepting any additional applications for our spay/neuter program until further notice.

Second Chance Companions is a non-profit organization, so all of the money goes right back into helping the animals. So that we may continue to offer these services and help others, we request a co-pay of:

  • $70 per male dog
  • $80 per female dog

Please include a check, money order, or PayPal confirmation number with your application.

4) Once we receive the application, you will be contacted with an appointment for your animal. It’s our goal to have you scheduled for the surgery as soon as an appointment is available once we receive your payment, but it can take up to three months.
